Our Standards
Three documents set out what we ask of ourselves and of the people we work with: how our suppliers must operate, how we treat animal derived materials, and how we use AI.
How we hold ourselves
This is the standard we hold ourselves and our partners to. It is not a marketing claim but an operational model, and where we still fall short we would rather say so and keep improving than pretend we are finished.
Made in Europe, by name
We do not work with anonymous factories. Every HACOY piece is cut and sewn in workshops in Italy and Lithuania, chosen for their craft and their values. We keep sourcing close, which shortens transport and keeps us inside European Union labour law.
Tested to touch the skin
Our linen carries OEKO-TEX Standard 100, certificate 2017OK0319, so it has been tested for harmful substances. Most of our fabrics come from Europe, the bamboo fibre comes from China and the denim is woven in Turkey.
Safe and human
We work with workshops in Italy and Lithuania that operate under EU labour law, and we build relationships with the people who make our clothes rather than treating them as anonymous suppliers. A better process for everyone involved matters as much as a better product.
Small on purpose
We design without seasons, so nothing is rushed. We produce in small, curated batches, which allows every piece to be inspected, and gives our partners the time to do their best work.
Natural first
We choose natural fibres because your skin absorbs your world. Where performance demands it, in swimwear and sportswear, we use polyamide and elastane, and we name them openly.
Honest prices
We do not run discounts or sales. We publish what a piece costs us to make, so the price is something you can check. Everyone pays the same honest price, all year.
Made to be kept
Every piece is built to be repaired and to stay in use, carried by its Meet your piece record through repair, resale and a second life at Revivewear.
Supplier Code of Conduct
At HACOY we hold that luxury is rooted in respect for the people who make a piece, and for what it is made from. This Supplier Code of Conduct defines the social, environmental and ethical standards that all our suppliers, subcontractors and partners are expected to uphold.

Animal Welfare Policy
Luxury and responsibility, together.
Our commitment
At HACOY we believe that luxury and responsibility belong together. Our approach to design and production reflects respect for people and all living beings. We are committed to ensuring that any animal derived materials used in our products come from sources that uphold the highest standards of welfare, transparency and traceability.
Responsible use of animal derived materials
HACOY may use natural materials such as silk, wool, cashmere and leather when they meet the conditions set out in this Code. We require that all such materials meet the following conditions:
- They must be sourced from farms, herds or suppliers that ensure humane treatment and follow recognised animal welfare standards.
- No materials obtained through live plucking, mulesing, force feeding or other inhumane practices are permitted.
- Silk, wool and leather suppliers must demonstrate traceability and compliance with local and international welfare regulations.
Prohibited materials
HACOY strictly prohibits the use of:
- Fur
- Exotic skins, such as crocodile, snake or lizard
- Any fibre obtained through practices causing unnecessary suffering
- Any materials produced through animal testing
Supplier expectations
All HACOY suppliers are required to comply with the Supplier Code of Conduct above and confirm adherence to this policy. We expect transparency in sourcing and reserve the right to request documentation verifying compliance.
Continuous improvement
As materials and technologies evolve, we continuously review our sourcing practices to improve welfare standards. Our goal is to create products that embody comfort, craftsmanship and care, the essence of true modern luxury.

Responsible AI
How we use AI, and why it matters
At HACOY we are guided by integrity, creativity and careful innovation. As part of our journey in digital storytelling, we have begun to integrate AI generated content into certain elements of our brand communication, thoughtfully, selectively and always with transparency. We think it is important to share what that means and how it aligns with our values.
With purpose, not as a replacement
As a young, independent brand, we operate with limited resources and boundless imagination. AI offers us a way to test concepts, expand our visual storytelling and bring more representation into our world. It lets us experiment creatively and within our means, enrich our content with broader diversity and perspectives, keep up with a changing technological landscape, and balance innovation with the reality of a startup. But make no mistake: AI is not a replacement. It is a tool, one of many in our creative ecosystem.
Our commitment to human essence
We will always continue to work with real photographers, real models, stylists, writers and creatives. The energy on a set, the dialogue between people, the texture of fabric in light, those moments are irreplaceable. AI does not carry the soul of a person and it does not tell lived stories, and no matter how sophisticated the technology becomes, our commitment to the human essence of fashion will never change.
Labels for clarity
To keep things clear, you may encounter content tagged “Created with AI”, “Crafted with the Help of AI” or simply “*AI”. These labels indicate that AI was used in the creation process. That may apply to select images such as product mockups or visual concepts, certain videos such as style animations or concept films, and some editorial style text. We always aim to mark this content clearly so you know what is fully human crafted and what is AI assisted.
Honouring both tradition and innovation
AI is part of our experimentation, not our foundation. Our roots are deeply human, our heart remains artisanal, and our ambition is a future where innovation and ethics walk side by side. Thank you for your curiosity, and for holding us accountable. It keeps us aligned with our truth.
With care, the HACOY team.
